The Gang
Gabe's Gang is a special needs and senior dachshund sanctuary. In most cases, these little angels have issues or conditions that make it best they remain part of the Gang at the sanctuary for the rest of their life. This way, we can monitor their health closely, and make sure they spend every day surrounded by love, compassion and care. What we do is very costly, though, and because of that, we offer virtual adoptions. These virtual adoptions provide necessary funds needed to support Gabe's Gang. Barker ame to the gang with his sister, Blaze, in March of 2016. Both are now forever fosters due to their neurological issues that includes seizures that are likely a result of head trauma. Mr. Barker, however, has found a loving and wonderful home with his sister and wil live the rest of his days surrounded by love. Buddy is a member of Hannibal's House, which means he is a forever foster. Buddy came with his brother, Buster, from a shelter in Indiana.Buddy is a happy, young, special needs dachshund who at some point lost his back leg. It doesn't stop him though! Queenie was brought to a clinic to be euthanized because she was "having too many accidents." Luckily, Queenie's vet refused and she was signed over to the clinic. Not long after that, she wound up with Gabe's Gang. As it turns out, she suffers from Cushings Disease, which, left untreated can cause frequent urination. Well, she's living the good life now as a part of Hannibal's House and getting the treatment she needs for her disease.
Buster came to the gang from a shelter in Indiana. He came with his very bonded brother, Buddy. Buster is blind in one eye and deaf. He can be skittish as a result, but once he feels the love from you, he is a sweetie.
